ignis H2 Energy Inc. (Ignis Energy) announced that the company is entering into a strategic partnership with PT IMECO INTER SARANA (Imeco), an Indonesian Energy and Industrial Infrastructure Development Company. This strategic partnership will help accelerate the development of already identified geothermal opportunities in Indonesia.
Ignis Energy is focused on evaluating and advancing opportunities that lead to becoming a Geothermal power producer in multiple countries. This strategic partnership with Imeco is highly synergistic and allows Ignis Energy to use its market-leading technical capabilities alongside those of Imeco to bring geothermal baseload power capabilities into the Indonesian market. Adding geothermal opportunities in Indonesia will add a significant growth to Ignis Energy’s international portfolio (which already comprises projects in US, Italy and Turkiye) and support the company’s goal to achieve one gigawatt of proven geothermal reserves by 2030.
Ignis Energy and Imeco are supported by Ignis Energy’s sister company GEOLOG International (GEOLOG) which has been established in Indonesia since 2007.
