Drilling at Weepah Hills, NV

Ignis H2 Energy Inc. has started temperature-gradient drilling at its Weepah Hills geothermal project in Esmeralda County, Nevada. The first well spudded on September 25, 2026, after the project completed all local, state and federal permitting required to drill.

The program covers five temperature-gradient wells, drilled one after another. The first well is complete and the second is drilling.

Temperature-gradient wells are shallow, fast, and the cheapest way to find out where the heat actually is. That matters at Weepah Hills, a blind geothermal system with no hydrothermal activity at the surface.  The wells will be read against each other, and what they tell us sets the target for a confirmation well.

That is what exploration-first means in practice: drill to learn before you drill to commit.

Planning for the confirmation well is under way, with drilling expected around the turn of the year.
