We are thrilled to announce that one of ignis H2 Energy Inc. advisor, Prof. Alper BABA, has been recognized in the prestigious list of The World’s Most Influential Scientists, a study conducted by Stanford University.
This comprehensive research evaluated experts across 22 scientific disciplines and 176 sub-disciplines. This global recognition not only highlights his groundbreaking contributions to science but also his dedication to advancing innovation and knowledge in his field.
Prof. BABA completed his bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Dokuz Eylul University in 1992 and completed his Master’s and Ph. D. degree in Applied Geology at the at the same university. In 2001, he became an Assistant Professor, and in 2006, an Associate Professor in the Department of Geological Engineering, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.
He also conducted research at the United Nations University Geothermal Energy Program (Iceland) in 2003 and at Wayne State University (USA), Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2005. From 2009 to 2013, he worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE). In 2012, he was a visiting professor at the University of Toronto (Canada), Department of Environmental Sciences. Since 2013, he has been a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, IYTE and currently he is the Vice Rector of this Institution. The expertise and study areas of Prof. BABA are Water Resources, Geothermal Energy, Groundwater Contamination, Hydrogeology, Environmental Geology and Engineering Geology.
