We are thrilled to announce that Marcus Oesterberg has joined our team as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ignis Energy. With over 32 years of experience in the energy industry and holding over 16 patents, Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our company.
Marcus began his career in 1995 at Baker Hughes in Celle, Germany, and later relocated to the United States in 1997. During his tenure at Baker Hughes, he held various roles in Technical Services, Deepwater Project Management, Repair & Maintenance, Global Marketing, Off- and Onshore Operations, and as the Global Product Management Executive for Directional Drilling.
Prior to joining Ignis Energy, Marcus served as the President of Evolution Engineering, a leading downhole MWD tools provider, which he successfully sold to Baker Hughes in 2021. His extensive experience in the energy industry and his proven track record of success makes him an invaluable addition to our team.
As COO, Oesterberg will oversee the day-to-day operations of Ignis Energy, including project management, engineering, and procurement. His extensive experience in the energy industry will be instrumental in helping the company achieve its goals and continue to grow.
